Performance Choreography

We are sending you the choreography for Song #1. This is all NEW material we want you to learn prior to March 3! All halftime dancers need to learn this routine + review your assigned audition routine (Pom or Kick).

This will be taught on Thursday, we simply want you to know the choreography to maximize our time Thursday during rehearsal. We have a lot to accomplish Thursday with review and teaching songs 1 & 4 of the show! Thank you for practicing and being prepared!

If you are in pregame, you will learn all of your show Thursday night.

SONG 1 – EVACUATE THE DANCE FLOOR

8-1 HOLD (poms at chest, feet together, chins up)

8-2 Broken T to Right 1-2, Left 3-4, Left up 5, switch 6, rocket 7. Pull down to chest 8

6-COUNT: 3 groups every 2 counts center out, rocket and swing out to sides

8-4 3 groups every 4 counts out to in: T-arm swings out then up, then out, then down with hips

8-5 repeat

4-COUNT: Circle right arm down stay looking left 1-2, left into right and rocket arms look forward on 3. Pull poms to chest 4.

KICK – Dance With Somebody

Hold 1-8.  Contagion front/back, poms up/dn 1-8.  Pivot turn R 2x 1-4, arms up 56, hook up78.

Straight kicks 1-16. Cowboy kicks R/L 1-8.  Rows in group, poms up 1, 2, 3 hook back up on 4.

Chasse R 1&2, step L 3, passe R 4, step R 5, battement L 6, close 78.  Reverse 1-8.  Around the World kicks R/L 1-16.

Drop arms 12, squat dn 34, up to knees 5-8.  Split contagion R 1-16.  Z sit 12, knees 34, stand up 56, hook 78.

Graduated kicks 1-16.  Straight kicks 1-16.

POM – Dancing Queen

(3 eights of transition – poms at chest)

8-1 Rock step forward and poms break to HV 1-2, rock step back poms break to LV 3-4, step to 2nd with right poms split the body in LV 5, step together and clap at chest 6, repeat to left 7-8

8-2 Step out right to 2nd and small hips on every count: Right arm to HV 1, T on 2, LV 3, to chest 4, repeat 5-8

8-3 Rock step forward and poms break to HV 1-2, rock step back poms break to LV 3-4, step to 2nd with right poms split the body in LV 5, step together and clap at chest 6, repeat to left 7-8

8-4 Step out right to 2nd and small hips on every count: Right arm to HV 1, T on 2, LV 3, to chest 4, repeat 5-8

8-5 Step forward with right and arms shoot out in front and pop right hip slightly 1-2, step back together and swing arms out and around to behind the head 3-4. Repeat with left 5-8

8-6 Step out with right HV/LV switches and close on 8

8-7 Kick with double counts – group 1 (in March there will be 4 groups and the kick will be single counted)

8-8 Kick with double counts – group 2

8-9 Step forward with right and swing arms up to level 1-2, step back 3-4. Repeat with left 5-8

8-10 Step right and swing arms to level T 1-2, step back 3-4. Repeat with left 5-8

8-11 Pivot with LV checks 1-2, turn 3-4, step to back 5-6, turn 7-8

8-12 Arm switches with double counts
